The Asus VG248QE is a great LED monitor for gaming. Its high refresh rate, backlight flicker feature and low input lag make for a very responsive and immersive experience. It lacks modern features like G-Sync, but most gamers will still be pleased by the excellent motion this monitor produces.

Right click on your desktop and select Screen Resolution. Then in that window click Advanced Settings. That will bring up another window and there should be a tab labeled Monitor, select that tab. From there you should be able to select Screen Refresh Rate.

Yes, u can overclock and the manufacturer mentions it but u shouldn’t as u may be getting frame tears and have other issues. Just have G-sync on and you are good to go. And oh, seriously you wont notice any difference between 144 hz and 165 hz, its just a waste of time.
Can you overclock a monitor from 120hz to 144hz?
Mind-blowing, I know (and also potentially monitor-blowing, apparently monitors aren’t like other parts, they really don’t like being overclocked). To get it to 144 Hz, it would have to be 140 Hz by default (or at least 120 Hz), and you will still almost certainly destroy the monitor.
